Artist and Jewellery Maker.
I'm Jules, the designer and maker behind Jules B Jewellery.
Working from my home studio in Liverpool, I create jewellery that celebrates organic shape and texture. Every piece is formed by hand from grain to finished jewellery using traditional metalsmithing techniques and 100% recycled precious metals.
I'm endlessly inspired by the natural world. Weathered rocks, flowing water, rugged coastlines and the textures we pass by every day all find their way into my work. I love the subtle variations that occur throughout the making process, often allowing the metal itself to guide the final form. No two pieces are ever exactly alike and that's what draws me back to the bench day after day.
Pursuing traditional metalsmithing once felt like a distant dream. When the opportunity to learn these skills arose, I embraced it wholeheartedly, stepping beyond my comfort zone and slowly building both my studio and my confidence as a maker. What began as a curiosity has grown into a business centred around craftsmanship, creativity and a genuine love of making.
In 2023, my work was recognised by British Vogue, where I was featured in their Jewellery Designer Profile and also World of Interiors, which included my creations in their Summer Favourites selection.
‘Jules B has a fresh perspective on everyday jewellery and appeals to those who seek an alternative to the traditional’
British Vogue, July 2023.
These features not only celebrated the artistry behind my designs but also underscored the growing appreciation for sustainable, handcrafted jewellery.
My jewellery is intended to feel personal to the wearer. Each piece carries its own character through subtle differences in shape and texture, echoing the imperfect beauty of the natural surfaces that inspire me.
At the bench you'll find me experimenting with new techniques, exploring fresh ideas and continuing to learn. I've always believed that growth happens when you're willing to venture a little beyond what feels comfortable, so I try to approach my work with curiosity and a willingness to go slightly out of my depth. The excitement of discovering something new, or finding a different way to create something familiar, is still my favourite part of what I do.
I hope you find as much joy in wearing these pieces as I do in making them.

“If you feel safe in the area that you’re working in, you’re not working in the right area. Always go a little further into the water than you feel you’re capable of being in. Go a little bit out of your depth and when you don’t feel that your feet are quite touching the bottom, you’re just about in the right place to do something exciting.”
